TSC NetZero™ enables you to setup the carbon emissions accounting in a very simple and easy to understand methodology. Boundary questions are a set of 'Yes or No' questions that help you identify emission causing activities inside your organization. Once you answer all the questions relevant to a particular Scope of Emissions that you are looking to measure and account, TSC NetZero™ set you up automatically.
Configuring Boundary Questions
You need to do these steps:
- Login with a user having Organization Admin privileges.
- Click on Settings menu on the top right corner of your screen
- Select Boundary Questions menu from the navigation
- If you are doing this setup for the first time, you need to answer questions for each of the Scope 1, Scope 2 or Scope 3 which you need to account for for your organization.
- Click on Save
Once you have answered all the boundary questions, TSC NetZero™ automatically translates the supplied information to the emissions inventory for your organization.
As per the GHG protocol, for Scope 1 emissions you should account for Stationary combustion, Mobile combustion and Fugitive emissions from Refrigeration, Air conditioning and Fire suppression equipment. You should also account for any other sector-specific fugitive sources, if relevant.
Editing Boundary Questions
Your emissions activity may change over a period of time. This means that you need to reset the boundary questions that you had answered earlier. TSC NetZero™ enables you to keep a track of the boundary question's by enabling you to edit the boundary questions.
In case you have selected YES for a question previously and you want to change the same to NO, the system will disable the activity type associated with the boundary question. You will be unable to add any additional data for the activity once the same has been disabled.
