Managing your Energy data sources

As an organization who need to monitor their energy data you must manage your various data sources. Data sources refer to the origins or locations where data is generated, collected, or stored. These can be diverse and come in various formats.

In the context of energy management or data driven applications data sources include :
  1. Enterprise Systems - Energy Data especially the purchase related energy data may be available on ERP systems like SAP or Salesforce. This can be integrated with the TSC Energy Platform through the REST based API interface.
  2. IIoT Platforms : In case your organization has already integrated the energy data in real-time into Industrial IoT platforms like Azure IoT, AWS Iot , ioEye Connect, the TSC platform provides you a pre-integration with these platforms.
  3. IIoT Sensors and Analyzers - Energy Data is usually available from  Energy Meters. These Energy Meters may be smart and can communicate the data directly with the TSC Platform.
  4. Industrial Systems - Energy Data from smart meters may already be aggregated by industrial systems like SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), PLC (Programmable Logic Control), DCS (Distributed Control System) et al where this data can be share with the TSC Platform through the pre-integrated TSC Edge Service offerings.
  5. Manually : For any unstructered dat which may not be available in any of the IT/OT systems, the energy daa may be entered manually into the 
Understanding and effectively managing these data sources is crucial for organizations looking to harness the power of data for decision-making, analysis, and optimization in various domains, including energy management.
