Configuring Sources and Consumers

To set up emission sources and consumers in the TSC Netzero™, navigate to the Settings section and click on Sources and Consumers. This module allows you to catalog and track various emission sources and consumers across your organization.

On the left hand side bar, you will see various options such as:
  1. Combustion Equipment: Register boilers, furnaces, generators, and other combustion-based equipment that consume fuel and emit greenhouse gasses.
  2. Suppliers: Record details of fuel and energy suppliers, enabling tracking of indirect emissions.
  3. Vehicles: Add company-owned or operated vehicles, including cars, trucks, and heavy machinery, to account for transportation-related emissions.
  4. Refrigeration and Fire Suppression Equipment: Inventory refrigeration units, air conditioning systems, and fire suppression systems that contain potent greenhouse gasses.
  5. Sector Specific Fugitive Sources: Identify and track fugitive emissions specific to your industry, such as leaks from pipelines or industrial processes.
  6. Employee: Associate employees with emission-generating activities or assets, facilitating accountability and emission allocation.
  7. Product and Services: Catalog products and services that contribute to emissions throughout their lifecycle.
  8. Fuels: Record fuel types and consumption rates for equipment, vehicles, and processes.
  9. Processes: Document industrial processes that generate emissions, such as manufacturing or chemical reactions.
  10. Production Route: Define production pathways and associated emissions for manufactured goods.

Setup Procedure:
  1. Go to Settings icon > Sources and Consumers.
  2. Select one of the options mentioned above from the left-hand sidebar.
  3. Click the + (Green) button on the right side.
  4. Enter required details for the selected asset.
  5. Repeat steps 2-4 for each option.
By following these steps, you'll successfully configure emission sources and consumers in TSC Netzero™, laying the groundwork for accurate emission tracking and sustainability reporting.
