The Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report (BRSR) is a framework mandated by SEBI for Indian companies to disclose their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance. Reporting your BRSR demonstrates transparency, compliance, and commitment to sustainable business practices, fostering trust among stakeholders.

Steps to Create a BRSR Report

1. Set Reporting Preferences for BRSR
  1. Navigate to Settings > Reporting Preferences.
  2. Select BRSR as the reporting framework.
  3. Choose your preferred reporting interval (e.g., quarterly, annually).
  4. Click Save.

2. Create a New BRSR Report
  1. Go to Main Menu > Reports > Global Frameworks.
  2. Click +New Report.
  3. Fill in the required details in the form and click Next.
  4. Choose relevant metrics for your report.
  5. Click Assign to allocate metrics to an assignee and approver from your facility.
  6. Click Next to finalize, and then Save the options.

3. Add Data to the Created Report
  1. Navigate to Main Menu > Reports > Global Frameworks > Ongoing Reports.
  2. Select the report you just created.
  3. Choose the reporting period at the bottom of the page.
  4. Input all required data into the assigned fields.

4. Finalize the Report
  1. Once all data is entered and verified (100% completion), click the Lock Report icon to finalize the report.
5. Export the Report
  1. Go to Main Menu > Reports > Global Frameworks > Report History.
  2. Locate the finalized report.
  3. Click the three-dot icon next to the report.
  4. Select the desired file format (e.g., PDF, Excel) and export.

Steps to Edit a BRSR Report

1. Locate and Unlock the Report
  1. Navigate to Main Menu > Reports > Global Frameworks > Report History.
  2. Find the report you want to edit.
  3. Click the Unlock Report icon to allow modifications.

2. Edit the Report
  1. Go to Main Menu > Reports > Global Frameworks > Ongoing Reports.
  2. Select the unlocked report from the list.
  3. Choose the Reporting Period you need to edit.
  4. Update the required metrics and fields with the revised data.

3. Re-Lock the Report
  1. Once all edits are complete, verify the data and ensure accuracy.
  2. Click the Lock Report icon to finalize the changes.
